Correspondence, deeds, diaries, account books, business and legal documents, scrapbooks, tax records, church records, memorabilia, photographs, postcards, and other papers of Jacob and Lena Zimmerman, their son George H. Zimmerman and his wife Jessie M. (McCall) Zimmerman, and children of George H. and Jessie Zimmerman: Jessie May (Zimmerman) Millar and her husband Thomas Millar, Olive Hope (Zimmerman) Holfman and her husband Rev. Paul D. Holfman, Mabel June Zimmerman, and Isobel Faith Zimmerman. Also includes materials relating to the gift of Isobel Faith Zimmerman of the family home to the Fairview-Rockwood-Wilkes Historical Society to be preserved as a historic home and kept by the society in partnership with Gresham Parks & Recreation Division; and the establishment of an endowment fund to be used for the Zimmerman Heritage Farm, reflecting the life and times of the Zimmerman family and dairy farming in the east Multnomah County region through living history presentations and exhibits.

Family of Jacob and Lena (Schoepfel) Zimmerman, German immigrants who arrived in the U.S., in 1843, lived in Cincinnati, Ohio, and in 1851 joined a wagon train and migrated to Oregon where they settled in Fairview where they farmed until 1869 when moved briefly to Portland where Jacob worked as a machinist for one year when they moved to a farm site in Gresham.
